On Saturday, the 21st of May, Kyneton Little Aths held a fundraising BBQ outside the sports and aquatic centre, which was one of the designated voting locations for residents in the electoral division of Bendigo.
An Amazing Sunny Day For A Community Fundraising BBQ
Although we started with a freezing Kyneton morning, we couldn’t have hoped for better weather conditions as the day soon warmed up and turned into a beautiful autumn day.
A Great Fundraising Result, And Thank You To All Involved
While the physical voting turnout wasn’t as high as in previous years, we still raised over $1000 once all costs had been accounted for.
We want to thank those who volunteered to help on the day and the members involved in the planning process.
We would also like to thank the businesses that helped us with products at short notice, including Ashley Coburn from Bakers Delight Kyneton, who baked the bread loaves and the team at Hardwick Meatworks, who were able to provide us with burgers and sausages.
We would also like to thank all those who purchased food and or drinks on the day. Without you, there would not have been the opportunity to raise funds for the Kyneton Little Athletics Centre.
We would especially like to thank those who gave a little extra with their purchase. Your donations are highly appreciated.
How Will The Funds Be Spent
All funds raised from election day BBQ will go towards purchasing new equipment for our upcoming 2022/2023 summer season.
Once again, thank you to the whole community and everyone who supports us.
We look forward to providing a welcoming, fun environment for children and teenagers in our upcoming season.
